Education Sector
At Coarc, we believe that educational spaces should do more than meet functional needs – they should inspire learning, support wellbeing, and create opportunities for every student to thrive. Working closely with schools, local authorities, and academy trusts, we deliver designs that respond to the unique challenges of modern education, from expanding capacity to enhancing inclusivity.

Experience
We have a strong track record in the education sector working across Birmingham, the West Midlands, and beyond, with projects ranging from mainstream secondary schools to highly specialised SEND environments. Our approach is rooted in consultation, collaboration, and an understanding of how the built environment shapes teaching and learning.
Featured Projects
Sherbourne Fields School, Coventry
Sherbourne Fields is an all-age special school catering for pupils with a wide range of needs, including physical disabilities, complex medical conditions, and diverse learning requirements. Our recent two-storey extension added nine new classrooms and a dedicated sixth form hub, with refurbished social spaces designed to foster independence and community. A new sensory courtyard and a vibrant rainscreen façade inspired by nature further enrich the school environment, balancing functionality with creativity.
Etone College, Nuneaton
Our work at Etone College delivered a new teaching block to support the school’s growing capacity and curriculum needs. Designed to complement the existing campus, the project provides modern, flexible classrooms alongside high-quality sports provision, ensuring students have access to the very best learning and extracurricular environments.
SEND Education
We have extensive experience designing for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), creating spaces that are safe, accessible, and adaptable. Our work demonstrates an understanding of the specific requirements these environments demand—from sensory-sensitive design solutions to fully inclusive circulation routes and therapeutic outdoor spaces. Each project is developed in close collaboration with schools, local authorities, and specialist consultants to ensure the built environment actively supports every learner’s journey.
